After a long hiatus during the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are excited to offer in-person worship at UBC (since 6/6/21). Currently, we are offering the 10:45 a.m. Foundation Service, which will be available for in-person attendance or for viewing via Zoom or Facebook Live, as well as our contemporary Fusion service at 1:00 p.m. in the Davis Chapel (live streamed on our church’s Facebook page).

Here’s what you can expect for our reopening plans and guidelines:

Policies

  • If you are feeling sick or exhibiting any symptoms of illness (such as cough, fever, etc.) PLEASE DO NOT come to worship in-person! In these circumstances, we ask that you take full advantage of our online worship offerings!

  • Wearing masks in the building is highly encouraged, but no longer required at this time. The exception to this is in the children’s area and for anyone working with or planning to be in proximity to children. In these circumstances, masks are required.

  • You are not required to have received your vaccination to attend, but we encourage you to get vaccinated if possible, and to use your best judgement about attendance based on your vaccine status.

Adjustments for Worship

  • Prompters will be available upon entry - they will be located on a table by the Garden Entrance and main South Entrance in the sanctuary.

  • We are providing 3 ways to give your tithes and offerings: You can give online, by utilizing one of our contactless drop boxes at either sanctuary entrance, or placing your gift in a plate carried by the deacons during a time of offering in worship.

  • We are now permitting singing during worship, though we encourage people to remain masked while singing.

  • Communion will be offered, and will offer individualized communion kits that will be found in the pews on Communion Sundays, for those uncomfortable with taking the elements from the trays in the front of the sanctuary or intinction in the chapel.
