Our Organ Repair Fundraising Committee is seeking donations toward our Organ Repair Campaign to help in these efforts to preserve the historical organ and its beautiful sound. The amount our church needs to raise is $400,000 for necessary repairs.

The pipe organ was installed in 1967. During the ensuing fifty-plus years it has been a faithful contributor to UBC worship. The repairs to the organ over this timeframe have been minimal. In fact, it has been over 30 years since anything more-than-minor repairs have been done.

In November 2022, this congregation voted to proceed with a two-stage organ repair. Stage one would be funded with money lent from the endowment fund that required repayments from the proceeds of this campaign. Stage one is nearly complete. Stage two, however, requires us to raise the funds before beginning the work.

If you would like to give, you may send a contribution to the church office designated for the Organ Repair Fund. Gifts are accepted as one-time contributions, or you can indicate a desire to give in installments. If you prefer to give online, you may also do so by visiting our online giving portal, and then selecting the Organ Repair option from the dropdown “Fund” menu. You can similarly choose a one-time or recurring gift option.

The organ is a unique treasure of UBC and part of the DNA of the building and our worship. Let’s treat it as well as it has treated us over these many years. Thank you so much for your support and consideration as we pursue this important project!
