As we approach the end of the summer, UBC is again offering a monthly Book Study that will invite participants to look for spiritual themes in selected texts.
At our next meeting, we’ll discuss William Kent Krueger’s book, Ordinary Grace. This meeting will be held on Thursday, August 30th, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Tom and Susan Harrington’s house. Weather permitting, the group will meet and grill out in their backyard, and participants will be asked to bring a side-dish to share.
Limited copies of this book will be made available in the church office in the weeks prior to the August 30th meeting (at a cost of $5 per book).
This study is open to all ages. Also, if you have some friends who enjoy discussing literature, but don’t attend UBC, please consider inviting them to attend. All are welcome!
Please add your name to the sign-up sheet that will soon be placed outside of the sanctuary if you plan to be a part of the August 30th discussion of Ordinary Grace; or, let Tom (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Susan (email@example.com) know by email, so that they can make sure to have enough food for everyone!
